Shl\u00e9mil, notre h\u00e9ros, est un habitant de Khelm, pauvre et oisif. H\u00e9ros tragi-comique perdu dans ses r\u00eaves de gloire et de richesse, il \u00e9volue dans un monde hostile et moqueur d\u00e8s lors qu\u2019il quitte son village.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Pourtant, il r\u00eave de faire fortune et va tenter sa chance \u00e0 Lublin, Lemberg puis Varsovie. H\u00e9las, ses aventures burlesques seront autant de catastrophes, qui vont l\u2019entra\u00eener vers la faillite, la brouille familiale, sans parler de ses d\u00e9boires conjugaux. Pour finir, il ne saura m\u00eame plus qui il est, ni o\u00f9 il habite exactement. Et ce n\u2019est pas le fameux Conseil des Sages, compos\u00e9 des plus grands imb\u00e9ciles de Khelm, qui pourra l\u2019aider \u00e0 y voir plus clair&nbsp;!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Dans Les voyages de Shlemil, narration, com\u00e9die et musique klezmer sont entrem\u00eal\u00e9es.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Le texte est une adaptation de r\u00e9cits d\u2019Isaac Bashevis Singer et de diverses sources traditionnelles.
